Welcome to the heart of the Texas Panhandle, a true crane hunter's dream. While our headquarters is in Lubbock, TX, Texas Triangle Outfitters is constantly on the move, following the birds across the region to ensure quality hunting throughout the entire season. We specialize in guided hunts for Cranes and Quail. To maximize success, all crane hunts take place exclusively in the mornings, giving our guides ample time to scout and secure the best fields for the next day. We focus on finding fresh hunting areas and, occasionally, hunting water depending on local conditions.
The southern Texas panhandle is a major wintering area for cranes. Once they arrive they very rarely leave, some stay till mid march before trekking back north. We use the best decoys possible to provide the best hunt. Crane hunts are offered in the morning only, unless conditions require an afternoon hunt. Some hunts are conducted over water, but the majority take place in corn, milo and wheat fields.
All hunting takes place exclusively on private land and is personally run by the owner, Scott. To ensure a high-quality experience, we are limiting the group size to a maximum of three people per hunt, though we happily welcome individuals and groups of two. Guests are welcome to bring their own dogs to the field; otherwise, the lodge runs excellent German Shorthair Pointers and Labs. Please feel free to contact us for more details about this exciting new hunting opportunity.
